In this class, I hope to learn how to use technology effectively in education. I want to understand not just the tools, but also strategies for using them to help students learn. In the future, I plan to apply these skills in my career by creating lessons that engage learners and prepare them for a technology-driven world. Learning how to use technology responsibly will also help me grow as a lifelong learner.
My prior experiences with technology in education have included using platforms like Google Classroom and Canvas to manage assignments and communicate with teachers. I have also used Google Docs and Zoom for group projects and collaboration. These experiences have shown me both the advantages of technology and the challenges when it doesn’t work as expected.
My personal learning networks include both online and offline resources. I enjoy learning about topics like history, writing, and music. Online, I use YouTube tutorials, podcasts, and articles to explore these subjects. Offline, I learn through conversations with peers, family, and instructors. Using both types of resources helps me stay motivated and keep growing in the areas I care about.
I really liked your reflection! You did a great job explaining what you hope to get out of this class and how you want to use technology in the future. I like that you’re not just focused on learning the tools themselves but also on how to use them in meaningful ways with students, that’s such an important perspective. I also thought it was cool how you tied in your personal learning networks with your interests like history, writing, and music. It makes your response feel really genuine. Overall, I think you’re on a great path and it’s clear you’re really motivated to keep growing.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you explained your goals for using technology in education. I thought it was strong that you connected your future career to the skills you’re building now. I also like how you included both the advantages and challenges of using technology, because that shows a realistic view. Your examples of using Google Docs, Zoom, and YouTube made your reflection relatable and clear. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI really connected with your point about utilizing technology not just as a tool but as a means of strategy in order to help your students to learn. I too have implemented learning platforms like Google Classroom and Zoom. I agree with you that technology can make learning much easier but more frustrating when it is not accessible. I like your comment about “balancing” online sources like YouTube and podcasts with face to face conversations. I think the key to growth and remaining motivated is to have both access to online resources but to also be able to make personal connections. Your perspective is encouraging and makes me reflect on how important it is not just to teach students how to use technology but to help them to understand how to utilize technology responsibly and effectively.
